Hi friends,

Ii am following the rhapsody red book for version7.4 and higher provided by IBM and trying to model the handset system. But in Lesson 6 exercise 1g it says to draw an transition using the default flow button but on my drawing toolbar i cant find any such button. I am using IBM Rhapsody C++ Developer 7.5. I could find a button similar to the icon of 'default flow button' called 'initial flow' but this one does not behaves as the default flow button said in the book.

Similar Problem arises with Activity Flow button as given in the book.

please help me out friends as i have to complete this tutorial in next two days. your concern will be highly appreciated.

thanks and regards
satyam.

Hi Satyam,

I do not know the red book, maybe you can post a link.
activity diagram: the Default Flow in 7.4 is the same as the Initial Flow in 7.5.
statechart: the Default Connector in 7.4 is the same as the Default Transition in 7.5

I got the book form this link. It will be a great help if you look in to lesson 6 of this book and sort out my problem as said in the previous post.

Hi,

I'm new in Rhapsody world.
So I take the tutorial for C++, all works fine except for Activity diagram.
I have the version 7.5.0.1.
When I use a controlFlow between two Actions, I don't have acces to the name of the transition, that is the trigger of transition.

Is there any manner to obtain a transition like in statechart diagram???

Thanks.

Hi everyone. I'm new on this forum.

Now, I have some problems with Rhapsody 7.5.1. This program is new for me and i'm still learning it. I have received tutorial "System Engineering Tutorial" from here!. I tried to get through this tutorial to get some basics about usage of new tool. But on page 89 there is section "Drawing a Timeout Transition for CheckSignal" and on the next page, 90, there is section "Specifying an Action on the Disconnect Transition". All I have to do is attach action to ControlFlow (or ActivityFlow in 7.4 version) but there is no place where I can do that. It's impossible. Is it me or just new version that I am working on have seriously changed?

Could anyone explain how to do this action? I'm stuck and this forum seems to be the only place where I can ask for help :)
