Post subject: Blank Page after Compiling with MS Visual Studio .NET 2005 Posted: Fri Oct 12, 2007 3:54 pm |

I've just changed the Compiler to MS Visual Studio .NET 2005.
My RiC-Model worked well after Compiling with MinGW and the Webinterface worked, too. But now my webbrowser only shows a blank white page after pressing Go and calling the webserver at localhost.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

yes the reason for it it is might be an old version of a library called WebServices.lib....which is placed in the share\lib folder
What do I mean with old version ?:
If you're using Rhapsody 7.1.1 and you have the VS2005WebServices.lib build with Rhapsody 7.0 then it's possible that you get this white screen you mentioned ....
What can you do ...?
The sources for the webserver are not provided with the Rhapsody Installation so you're not able to compie by yourself
So in your case you have to ask Rhapsody Support to get the latest Version ... please post it on this forum when you have it

Thanks Bob for your reply.
At the moment I'm using Version 7.1.1.0 and the file VS2005WebServices.lib has the date 25th November 2006 apart from the other libs which have a date of June or July 2007. But I hope I'll get the new file soon.

I've found a workaround while waiting to get the file from Telelogic.
I've installed the new Rhapsody build with the option MS VS .Net on a second PC and was hoping that the file VS2005WebServices.lib is included but it wasn't.
So I've just renamed the files MSWebServices.lib and MSWebServicesR.lib to VS2005WebServices.lib and VS2005WebServicesR.lib and it works for the moment.
And it works for the moment, I haven't found any difficulties until now.

@Jochen: Can I hear a hint of sarcasm here? I've just tried to state that this simple, or maybe trivial workaround really works. It might help someone else who encounters the same problem.
I've got the lib from Telelogic now. But it doesn't work. Same problem as with the version which was included in the Adapter.

.Net 2005 is not yet official supported with 7.1.1, so the VS2005 libs are not included in the Rhapsody kit.
When you select .Net at Rhapsody installation then the libs for .Net 2003 are installed.
That the 2003 also work for 2005 is good to know but I would not rely on that.

HI Fred,
it's not the 2003 lib which works. It's the MSWebServices.lib version for MSVC++ 6 which works for me at the moment. I have no problem with that since I just need it to check my model. (create events, manipulate flags and so on)

I put a new verison of the Visual C++ 2005 Adapter in this forum .... also including the a new web lib version ... It should also work with the Studio 2005 standard version ... works fine for me please let me know if it works fine for you ...
