Hello,
is it possible to draw an association between nodes in a deployment diagram in Rhapdsoy? The association icon is not available in the drawing toolbar for a deployment diagram, so I wonder if there is another way to do it.
I would also like to draw the provided interfaces of a component within its owner node, but I can't find a way to do it.
In general, is it possible or does it have any sense to place an icon which doesn't belong to the drawing toolbar of a diagram on it, dragging this icon from the browser?
Thank you all,
jose.

The kind of Systems View that I think you would like to capture is best done using SysML. Some aspects of UML, including deployment diagrams, have been superseded by SysML.
For example the deployment view is now done with Block Definition and Internal Block Diagrams in SysML. Blocks are really just classes whereas nodes are nodes.
SysML is supported by Rhapsody. You can either create a SysML only project or you can add the SysML profile to a standard UML project.
