Hi,

Think of an active object, consuming the events in its queue.

I want to make sure that an event is consumed only after a specified amount of time passed after the consumption of the previous event. I need a statechart representation that replaces sleep() in classical task programming I think.

Any idea ?

So you want to defer the events? Perhaps something like this?
