Hi Guys,

I'm experiencing issues with the webify feature of version 7.0. It seems to limit you to 100 elements per executable. Does anyone know if this is a setting that can be tweaked or removed?

Cheers,

Rob

This is correct. There is no get around to this limitation.
1. Why should anyone monitor more that 100 variables at the same time? For professional applications build a VBA GUI. For testing use a debugger.
2. This is a performance issue to update the web page.

Hi Fred,

This is a pretty small scale academic approach to design. I'm trying to build industrial control systems and this becomes an interesting tell tale of the approach used by Telelogic. I have more than 100 variables of potential interest to engineers, but not mainstream users. As is normal there is also no budget nor inclination to build a VBA GUI when the Webify interface is advertised to provide it for free! I have worked in cgi and other forms of web technology in the past and I'm not immeadiatly aware of any other systems that hard code a limit like this, certainly not as low as 100. Rather disappointing.

Thanks for getting back to me, but I'm disappointed by the news you had to convey. It indicates the product is far less mature than I had hoped... ;)

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Guys,

I have received a response from Telelogic on this question and I enclose the relevant information below. Sounds like there is a work around.

-----------------------------
Rhapsody users can enlarge the number of webified elements up to 400
by overriding the function set_mib_default_size, which allocates the memory buffer used to store webified element information.

A sample function that overrides this function can be found in
Rhapsody\Share\MakeTmpl\Web\SetWebifiedElementsNumber\SetWebifiedElementsNumber.c.

In set_mib_default_size, the memory buffer is set by the call to
set_mib_rows_buffer_pool.

-----------------------------

Cheers,

Rob

I have heard there will be some new features in the summer release this year, for example internal graphical panels.
Maybe somebody else knows more about this.
