By setting the properties General.Model.ClassCodeEditor and General.Model.EditorCommandLine I can use, say, Notepad++ as my code editor. This means that when I get a compile error, I can double-click on the line in the build messages and Rhapsody will launch, say, Notepad++ on the given file.

However, it doesn't go to the correct line, which it would do if I were using the internal editor. Any suggestions on how to get it to go to the correct line?

Why are you not using the internal editor .. for example Active Code view which is pretty cool ALT +2.

But back to your question, because sometimes you don't want to use the internal editor

I had the same problem and never found a solution for this .. I guess this is not possible - also probalbly difficult to realise:

Notepad would need to receive a GoTO command by Rhapsody via API or Command line during startup of notepad. And even here I'm not sure if there is any available in Notepad...

What I use is GoTo command in notepad and put the line which was reported by Rhapsody .. One additional click but ok for me

But If someone has an approach for this I'm also highly interested :-D

Hi Bob, Thanks for the comments. Worth emphasising that I'm talking about Notepad++, not Notepad. Notepad++ too is fairly cool.
Notepad++ has a command line option to select the line number, see http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/ ... -HOWTO.php , but I don't know how to get Rhapsody to do this.
Any other thoughts on this? (E.g. are there any parameters one can use in the General.Model.EditorCommandLine property?)
