Rhapsody 7.4 Release Notes say ...

Supported IDEs = "Eclipse 3.3 (with CDT 4.0, JDT 1.0.0)"

Host support for RedHat Linux 5.0
Rhapsody 7.4 now is supported as a host and target platform for RedHat Linux 5.0. Support for RedHat Linux 3.0 is dropped in this release.

Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 comes with
Eclipse Version 3.2.0 (CDT 3.1.2)

It seems an odd combination to me! Are we supposed to change the version of Eclipse and CDT on our Redhat boxes?

We are having a LOT of trouble getting debugging to work on our remote LynxOS targets.

Has anyone managed this?

looks like that Eclipse 3.2 is the default package in the RH Distribution ... but why are you not updating to 3.3 ?

We used to use Ubuntu but changed to Redhat because it is the most commonly supported distro.

I thought the whole point to RHEL was that it was stable and we wouldn't need to update anything if tools quoted RHEL x support.

The problem with Ubuntu and updating lots of things is that different tools might require conflicting versions and support becomes difficult.

Nevermind!
