OK, there's RiC++, RiC, RiJ and RiAda. There's classic modeling to create a System Spec and there's modeling to create a deliverable component(s).
Who's using what and why?
I use RiC++ because I want the advantages of OO in, predominantly, an embedded SW environment. I also use RiC++ to provide the back end in any HCI applications I develop. Effectively I only step out of Rhapsody to do the skin (mainly in Borland Builder) much in the same way that some of the samples run with a VC++ control panel.
In addition, I like RiC++ because it's the back-bone of Rhapsody for Systems. I encourage System Engineers to use Rhapsody and SysML but it's a struggle sometimes.
So what are you using and why?
